'Daddy Blackbird' and Stunning Starling

Several birds feeding in the garden this morning - Blue Tits, Coal Tits, House Sparrows, Woodpigeon, Jackdaws and Starlings.
Of the Starlings that came to the bird table I was lucky to quickly snap this stunning one. Presumed male coming into full breeding plumage. When the sun shone on him the colours were amazing!

The Starling showing off his stunning purple and jade sheen. An extra large photo here for you to see the colours.

And here is our 'Daddy Blackbird'. That's the nickname we have given him. He is 1 of 2 resident males in the area. I did mention the male Blackbird in a previous post when adding a photo of the female. I took this today - black all over with the orange-yellow bill and eye ring.
